Italy Pics

By popular demand, I put my photos up on Flickr.

They're on two sites, here and here, as those greedy Flickr bastards have a limit on how many images you can upload at a time for free.

There's obelisks, dead popes, a cute little schnoodle doggie and a witty caption under each one.

Unfortunately they don't allow photos of The David at Accademia, but you can go here to see his naughty bits. The site is in Italian, but really, does it matter? Michelangelo certainly had a good handle on the male form, now didn't he?

Seeing as how I'm in your Mom's age group, please tell her for me that I think she's a babe!

Italy is the third largest manufacturer of motorcycles in the world, after China and Japan, and yet I see no pictures of sexy red Ducatis or Aprilias. Whassup?

What your fans really wanta see is pictures of you enjoying your vacation when Mom wasn't around! ;)

Fortunately, there were no cameras around when I was drinking absinthe at Cafe Noir in Venice.

And in the interest of embarrassing both my mother and a fellow blogger, i have alerted my mother via email of your interest, gordon. I'll post her response tomorrow.

More on the absinthe, please. I hear it's a little psychedelic.

My husband owes me a trip to Italy!! I went there 30 years ago. It looks like you had a wonderul time - minus the rotten hotel and losing the luggage. Any tips? Last time I backpacked. Now I'm too spoiled. Absinthe, huh?

The kind of absinthe that i had was pretty weak. it just effected me kind of like a double gin and tonic might. You know, dancing on tables, tearing off my clothes and groping the bartender.

As far as tips go, The winery, Dievole near Siena was beautiful. Stay there. It was awesome. This time of year was good too. Not too cold, not to warm, and too late in the year for the massive swarms of tourists. Drink lots of wine, wear comfortable shoes, and don't bring you parents.

And ellen, what exactly did you do for your husband that you deserve a trip to Italy?

Pictures are great; comments a little too cynical for my taste. Long time since I've been called "a babe", but I kind of like it. What do you mean, Cookie, advising going without your parents???!!!Mom
